What
is a cruise group?
Most major cruise lines offer incentives for guests that sail with
multiple cabins. Typically, it takes 8 double occupancy cabins
to qualify as a group. In some cases, there are even promotions
for as little as 5 double occupancy cruise cabins. Groups
typically need to be formed at least 75 days in advance. In
practice, groups are generally formed 3 months to as much as a year
in advance or more to allow everyone time for coordinating details.
Popular ships or ports with limited cruise ships tend to sell out
early so planning ahead can help secure the perfect ship and cabin
locations to meet the needs in your party.
Group
cruise benefits:
- Cruise lines typically offer special rates for group travel
- Special onboard amenities can be earned
- Usually, EVERY 16th passenger SAILS FREE!*
This free berth is known as a tour conductor. *Earning
the 16th passenger FREE typically requires at least 8 double occupancy
cabins. The FREE passage excludes airfare, transfers, port charges
or other taxes. Certain rules and restrictions can apply and vary
by cruise line. It is important to note, certain dates and
departures may be closed to groups or not offer tour conductors.
This can be due to a ship being mostly sold out, a popular date
or other reasons. As we work with you on your group quote request
we will make you aware of special options if applicable.
